Meet Sonia Tersigne

Sonia Tersigne places her deep personal knowledge of Houston and its complex home market at the service of her clients. Sonia, a sixth-generation Irish Texan, was born in Corpus Christi, grew up in Venezuela and moved to Houston in 1979. She is also fluent in Spanish which puts her international clients at ease. “Representing my clients allows me to furnish them with comprehensive representation, broad-ranging information and marketing with over 3 decades of knowledgeable perspectives on buying or selling their homes,” says Sonia.

 

As an Inner-Loop resident since the early 1980s, Sonia has sold homes, both personally and professionally, in the city’s finest neighborhoods: West University, Bellaire, and the neighborhoods surrounding Rice University; River Oaks and Upper Kirby; Montrose; The Heights area; Tanglewood; and the Memorial Villages area. She has assisted her Galveston clients in selling or purchasing properties from the island’s historic districts to its West Beach. She has also worked in the greater Houston area including Kingwood, Spring, The Woodlands and Katy.

 

Sonia offers true hands-on experience for her clients in transition. In addition to assisting hundreds of buyers and sellers, Sonia has designed and built two personal homes as well as remodeled and sold numerous others. She understands the challenges individuals and families experience in a move and works hard to soften and smooth the process while guiding the transaction to a successful closing. Sonia is a good listener and skilled negotiator who has refined the ability to discern buyers’ and sellers’ most important requirements, and she regularly touches base with clients long after closing and happily consults on any renovations and design decisions.

 

Sonia has participated in a number of community organizations in Houston and in Galveston serving as docent for the Galveston Historical Society Historic Homes Tour. Sonia also volunteered for many years at the annual Houston Ballet Nutcracker Market, neighborhood volunteer in Timbergrove. Sonia attended North Texas State University in Denton, Texas. She loves spending time with two grandchildren, twin sister and son who is also a Realtor® and enjoys architecture, art, photography, ancestry, gardening, cooking, and remodeling and decorating homes.
