In their ongoing quest to provide the best residential real estate service possible, Julie Greenwood and Linda King conceived and created The Lobby: a place to find your home at Greenwood King's Kirby location. The goal was to merge expert HUMAN experience with the latest home-searching technology available to Realtors, in a modern yet comfortable environment. "This was a meticulous two-year process," explains GK co-principal Julie Greenwood. "But out of it evolved this amazing interactive listing search that incorporates information only available at The Lobby." The Lobby Director of New Business Elaine Moore adds, "And as a result, we have maximized a property's exposure to potential buyers."
Seven days a week, The Lobby doors are open to those interested in buying, selling or leasing residential properties. "We were very conscious to ensure the experience would be unlike any other," elaborates GK co-principal Linda King. "'Comfort level' was also essential. We wanted The Lobby to be a place were one can come in and, either on their own or with an expert agent, preview properties before ever getting in a car."
Centrally located in the middle of the 20,000 square foot structure housing The Lobby is the show-stopper: GK's exclusive Interactive Home-Search Mapping Technology incorporating a touchscreen monitor and 52" plasma screen (custom displayed flat like a map – see far right picture). This one-of-a-kind tool allows users to retrieve in-depth information on current listings with the touch of a finger or, if they like, with a wireless remote mouse. For techno-neophytes, Moore assures, "There will always be experienced agents on-site to answer questions and assist – whether you are a techie or not. We are confident, we have created a pretty user-friendly process that even Jane Jeston would be envious of."
As a guest approaches the touchscreen monitor (set to the right of the plasma map), a "Welcome to The Lobby" image is projected. By tapping "Buying," for example, the user will be prompted through a brief series of search criteria. Single Family, Townhome/Condominium, Highrise/Loft, Residential Lease, Residential Lots, Multi-Family and Acreage listings are available. A small map with Realtor listing zones highlighting the areas Greenwood King serves allows the user to easily narrow their desired neighborhood. Once the list is presented, the user can choose to "map" every search result property on the 52" plasma screen, or select just a few at a time. The results are numbered, and with a tap, property details that are only available to Realtors can be displayed. "We are open every Sunday (except holidays), so before driving all over town to look at open houses, come by The Lobby today and preview them from one location first," invites Moore.
